Pittsburgh Viper Hockey has announced dates and divisions for two Midget AAA Tournaments for the 2010-2011 season.

The Midget AAA Shootout, Oct. 1-3, 2010, will feature play in the Midget AAA U18, Midget AAA 16U and Midget AAA 15U (1995 birth year) age divisions.

The Midget AAA Steel City Cup, Feb. 4-6, 2011, will feature play in the Midget AAA U18, Midget AAA 16U and Midget AAA 15U (1995 birth year) age divisions.

The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) has announced the 46 teams, from 20 programs, accepted for the 2010-2011 season.

Congratulations to our Pittsburgh Viper Stars who have been selected to participate at the U18 & U16 levels for this upcoming season.

The Viper Stars will be the lone representative to the league in the tri-state and surrounding areas.

The NAPHL, which will begin its second season in 2010-11, has already established itself as the premier league in North America. With junior, collegiate and professional scouting presence at all of its events, coupled with a first-class organizational staff, the NAPHL offers unparalleled exposure and opportunity for every participating program.

Congratulations to Matt White, center, Pittsburgh Viper Stars 18U AAA, who made the final list of top players in North America as evaluated by the National Hockey League's Central Scouting Service.

White, who has already verbally agreed to attend the University of Vermont, finished #106 on the final evaluation.

He is the only player skating for a local U18 AAA team to receive such an evaluation.

NHL Central Scouting Service provides leagues and team directories, schedules and rosters for dozens of leagues and tournaments in North America and Europe that have NHL prospects participating in them. Central Scouting provides NHL teams with video footage of top prospects and two player ranking lists during the season. These lists are used by NHL clubs as a second opinion and as an aid in making their own prospect evaluations.
